Chi Phis Reunite with some Golf and Bocce

"So if it’s PSU vs. PSU, guess who wins.
If it’s Chi Phi vs. Chi Phi, guess who wins.
So if it’s Bill McDougall vs. Dennis Malick, guess who wins.
If it’s McDougall’s team vs. Malick’s team at the South Carolina State Championships, guess who wins.

In tennis, of course, EVERYONE wins.

As chance would have it with eight teams (more than 75 players) in the age 70s 3.5 playing division, it was McDougall vs. Malick (plus partners, of course) on #1 court and McDougall won it. But Malick’s team (Spring Lake Ultimates’ Spare Parts) won #2 and #3 courts, thus a 2-1 team victory.

In the final group rounds vs. other teams, McDougall won on #1 for the Sun City Old Dudes, who lost the other two courts. Malick won on #1 court and the Spare Parts also won the other two courts. Those final matches, on which Dennis played first and then Bill played, were on red clay*.

McDougall wins in individuals; Malick wins in teams.

Told ya: EVERYONE wins in the “sport for a lifetime”.

*Given red clay stains on the shoes and unbeaten record on that surface, is the French Open the next step? Watch out  Federer, Nadal!!!"
