UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State’s dates for next year’s Blue-White Weekend have been set for April 20-22.

Festivities will begin on Friday, April 20, with the centerpiece being the annual Blue- White Game on April 21...

Finding Comfort in Our Community
“In a cold world, you still need your friends to keep you warm.” (The Big Chill, 1983) 

As we say goodbye to Coach Paterno, Penn Staters everywhere can take comfort in friends and in the deep sense of community that we are so fortunate to enjoy as Penn State alumni. Looking back, Joe played a role in the best times of our lives – from tailgating to Bowl trips to games at Beaver Stadium. 

For many of us, they still continue to this day. Joe’s passing reminds us of what is most important in life: our lifelong connections to those who mean the most, including our Chi Phi brothers. 

There are plenty of opportunities to celebrate being a part of the Penn State community with the friends you met there: 

THON – February 17-19. You can honor Joe’s wish (a fraternity guy himself) by making a donation to this great cause. 
Blue/White Weekend – April 20-22

Campaign Gets a Boost from Pledge Increases
Happy New Year! As we kick off 2012, I wanted to reach out to all of you and provide with some more great news.  

Four more brothers have stepped up by increasing their pledge commitments or giving for the first time!  Please join me in thanking the following brothers from 1957 and 1958 for hearing our call for increased support so we can begin renovation on our home and re-engineering our organization:

Willis Kuhns '58, $1,500
Ron Broomfield '58, $1,000
Frederick Spot '57, $100

Thank you, Craig, Willis, Ron and Frederick! Craig increased his pledge by more than 50%!  Not only has he made a nice increase in his commitment, but has paid off his previous pledge. Willis increased his previous pledge commitment by 100%! Outstanding.  Ron and Frederick step and join us for the very first time.  This is incredible news and it speaks volumes about their commitment and pride in our organization! A special thanks to Andy Schultz, Sr. for his tireless efforts in sending out a personalized note to all of the brothers from the 1955-1960 era which assisted in producing these new commitments.
